Kim has represented Scotland at international level since the age of 16 and retired as Scotland’s vice-captain in 2021. She was one of two Scots selected for the Great Britain squad that reached the quarter-finals of the London 2012 and Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.
Kim has played for NWSL club Seattle Reign FC and Melbourne City FC, and currently plays at Arsenal as captain. Back in 2010, Kim scored 47 goals in 36 appearances for Arsenal and was named Player of the Year at the FA Women's Football Awards.
In April 2013, she became the first ever recipient of the Professional Footballers' Association Women's Player of the Year Award, and in 2016 was named BBC Women’s footballer of the year.
