Lucy started playing football when she was 12 years old, before joining her local female team, Blyth Town, at 16 and eventually moved on to Sunderland A.F.C Ladies. Lucy has since played for a number of teams in England, including Manchester City, Everton and Liverpool, before moving to France to play for top side Olympique Lyonnais for three trophy-laden years.
From being the first defender to be awarded the UEFA Women’s Player of the Year in 2019 to being the FIFA Best Women’s Player 2020, Lucy Bronze has had a hugely successful past couple of years and is indisputably one of the leading players in the world.
